We’ve recently been running some creative sessions at Feel Good Factor with some more planned in the future.

Soo Taylor, Community Wellbeing Worker says “we recently completed a series of sensory candle making workshops and we think they look really lovely, they were for gifts or just a sensory treat. At the first session we made the candles and participants chose either Blissful Florals – a mix of Lavender, Geranium, Chamomile, and Rosemary essential oils or Citrus Fresh – Grapefruit, Lime, Lemon, Marjoram, and Lavender.  At the next session, the following week, we all got creative and decorated our candles, plus we made our own wrapping paper!”.

At our Felt Creature Workshops in February we guided the group through making cute felt creatures – ladybird, lobster and turtle. The workshops gave people the opportunity to learn needle felting and some hand sewing techniques in a relaxed and friendly setting. Participants said that they enjoyed the mindful experience of needle felting (the room went very quiet with concentration) plus getting together with others in a creative environment. To quote one of our members “Thanks for your excellent felt course. I really enjoyed it, plus the company”.

In the pipeline for March… Hand Balm Making and Soap Making, so if you are interested in that or other craft activities please feel free to keep a look out for our monthly What’s On Guide or contact Soo (details below) who will keep you posted.
