Connecting Communities

The aim of this work which ended in 2022 was to enable carers to access activities and provide them with a short break from caring.

We use the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) model which means we build on things already found in the community to enable and empower individuals, groups and organisations (Community Connectors) to come together and use their strength and their potential to increase the strength of that community.

We focused on engaging with the local community to create opportunities for carers to meet and share their thoughts and ideas. We went out and about in Harehills, engaging with Community Connectors and together we led positive change.
