Come and Volunteer with Feel Good Factor
Looking to make a difference in your community? Feel Good Factor is a health and wellbeing organisation based in the heart of Chapeltown. We are looking for energetic, friendly and dedicated volunteers to join our organisation. You will help in a range of activities to ensure our members have a positive experience to support their independence and wellbeing.
Benefits of Volunteering:
make a positive difference to people’s lives
gain invaluable work experience
develop new skills
use existing skills and knowledge to benefit the local community
meet new people from a range of backgrounds
be a valued member of our team
Impact of our Volunteers:
Our volunteers donate a huge variety of skills in a wealth of ways. They offer support in the following areas :
· Engaging with members, to provide a warm and welcoming environment.
· Help with facilitating group activities e.g. crafts, cooking, outdoor activities, IT support, physical activity
· Offer support on trips, outings and local events
· Admin and housekeeping e.g. setting up meeting rooms, admin tasks
· Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants
What they all do, regardless of the role or activity they are involved in, is make a huge difference to the health and happiness of others.
The help from our volunteers means we can ensure people get greater access to services in their communities, improve social interaction and reduce social isolation. Our volunteers support people to do the things they enjoy in a friendly and nurturing environment.
What Feel Good Factor Can Do For You:
Every volunteer gets something different from their volunteering experience and we want to make sure you get as much out of volunteering as you put into it. That’s why we work hard to match your aims, goals, aspirations and available time to our volunteering roles. We offer a wide range of training relevant to volunteering at Feel Good Factor to help you develop your existing skills or learn new ones. So if you enjoy working with people and want to contribute to a vibrant community atmosphere, we’d love to hear from you.
