I joined Feel Good Factor in March 2017 and became a community health educator which led me into continuing to volunteer with a range of groups. I was the Healthy Lives Healthy Homes Peer Support and Activities Development Worker (Maternity Cover) developing and set up peer support groups and activities for BME people who are living with long-term health conditions including dementia to help reduce social isolation and improve health and wellbeing. I am now focusing on Men’s Work as the Connect Development Worker. I will be focusing on bringing people of different cultures together to help build new social networks of friends. I also help run the Saturday social group. I am a local person with the best interest of the local people at heart and strive daily to make a difference.
