I started working for Feel Good Factor as a Wellbeing Coordinator in February 2025 and am really happy to join team.
I am part of the Linking Leeds Social Prescribing service and will be working in the Harehills and Chapeltown areas. My role will be helping people to identify goals to improve their health and wellbeing and supporting them to identify services, groups and steps they can take themselves. Even though I have lived in this area for a long time it has been lovely finding out more about all the amazing work going on including all the fabulous projects at FGF.
Before taking up this post I worked for more than 20 years for the local authority. Initially I was in the Domestic Abuse Team delivering training and supporting Leeds agencies to improve their response. For the last 9 year with Leeds City Council I worked in Children’s Services delivering the Caring Dads Programme – this is a group work programme aimed at Dads who are causing harm in their families and aims to support them to make changes to their behaviour to benefit their children. I am really interested in group dynamics, what helps people make changes and believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to access help.
