Feel Good Factor (Leeds) is pleased to announce it will continue the essential Better Together health and wellbeing service in East Leeds provided by Zest, which is sadly closing after 23 years of dedicated service to the people of Leeds.
Zest has played a vital role in supporting the physical and mental wellbeing of people across the local community, providing services including wellbeing groups, mental health support, social connection activities and cooking skills.
Following careful planning and collaboration Feel Good Factor will carry forward this important work, ensuring that local residents continue to have access to trusted health and wellbeing support.
“Zest has always existed to support our community, and we are incredibly proud of what has been achieved,” said Dom Charkin, CEO at Zest. “While it is a difficult decision to close, we are confident that Feel Good Factor will build on our work with the same commitment and care”
“Health and wellbeing support is more important than ever,” said Angela Goodyear, Co-Director Projects & Partnerships at Feel Good Factor. “We are honoured to continue the work begun by Zest on the Better Together programme and remain dedicated to supporting the community now and in the years ahead.
The transition ensures that beneficiaries will experience minimal disruption to the activities and support they receive from the two Better Together workers based in the area.
Local residents will be able to access services through Feel Good Factor from 1st January 2026. Information on services, volunteering, and how to support the charity are available at www.fgfleeds.org.
