Doing it online is all the rage as we get used to being isolated from our friends, families and usual activities but you are allowed out, under certain circumstances.

Going Outside

You can go to the shops for essentials, to care for a vulnerable person and once a day for exercise if you don’t have coronavirus symptoms.

As we’re all having to adapt to these new and uncertain situations we find ourselves in, walking is a great way of countering two of the big side effects of the outbreak: isolation and inactivity.

The government continues to encourage us to go for a walk, if we can, so walk locally, choose open spaces, wash your hands when you get home. And above all, remain two metres apart from others.  Walking can keep us connected to our communities. Living Streets have some great advice here to help us make the most of what we are allowed to do. Read a blog post here on walking and coronavirus and here’s some more useful advice with a great FAQ on going outside.

You can download a being a Good Neighbour Pack from Doing Good Leeds with top tips to safely help others in your community.
